Placing on closely mown areas (fairways and putting green aprons)

- A player may lift and clean his/her ball.
- The ball position must be marked before it is lifted.
- Using the original position of the ball as a reference point, the ball can be replaced within 6 inches ( 15cm ) of the reference point, but no nearer the hole being played.
